Welcome to Vienna
There is nothing like indulging a personal pleasure while working - it’s one of the reasons we make Drawnalism. So, a two-day visit to a large conference in Vienna was a double pleasure because the event at which we were working was held in the fantastic Rathaus or City Hall.
There we provided a mixture of Drawnalism Illustration and In-the-Moment for delegates attending the event.
After making the drawings it was an interesting challenge to display the visuals appropriately in such a magnificent venue but judging by the reaction of the crowds, we did well.
In truth, this was due to a good degree of preplanning our work and that's a key part of every conference service we sell. If you are interested in this, you can find out more here. If we speak to you about this service you might expect us to ask, how would you like the In-the-Moment drawnalism to work for you?
Back in Vienna and once the work was done, I also got a chance to indulge in some personal retrospective location shooting for a favourite film, Carol Reed’s The Third Man. After all, what’s not to like about Vienna, its distinctive images and a fantastic soundtrack?
* We adjusted the settings on this photograph of the Rathaus to get what we thought was a nice and unusual effect.
