The State of the Union

In the aftermath of a vote for Brexit in the United Kingdom it was an extremely interesting time for us to be drawing a speech by Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the EU Commission. 

The EU Commission is one of the three bodies that runs the European Union and President Juncker gave his State of the Union speech at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.

Naturally Brexit featured in the speech and in the following debate in parliament although as the UK is finding out post its referendum vote, it isn’t at all clear yet what ‘Brexit means brexit’ means.
