The New Normal - On the Air
It has become increasingly clear that “the new normal” is here to stay for some time.
Drawnalism has already adapted to this new world and will continue to do so. How have we done this?
By focusing on two key services, which we call On the Air and At the Studio.
People, businesses and institutions across the world now gather for conferences and events in a virtual setting. So, with On the Air, our Drawnalists work online too, creating a digital graphic recording of the event as it is happening.
On the Air works at online conferences, dial-in calls or webinars. Drawnalists attend virtually, working up a lively graphic recording as the event is taking place.
Over the past year, we’ve worked like this at a wide variety of conferences, plenary events, seminars, and workshops. These can be formal or informal events, public or private.
Of course, once the Covid-19 pandemic leaves us and physical events begin again, you may wish to continue using Drawnalism in this way. As it does not involve travel for us, it is certainly the green alternative.
As you can see above, On the Air events are often supported by our At the Studio service, providing tailored images for your projects, drawing on Drawnalism's extensive experience in visual communication. We'll tell you more about that in a future blog post.
All of this change is not to say that we have abandoned our In the Moment service, where Drawnalists work at an event in person to create a paper or digital record, but it is certainly on hold for now. We hope to pick up our digital devices and pens and pads of paper again when they are needed.
