Communicating Europe: A Shared Endeavour
When you gather 1500 ACE* communicators together you know that insights are going to fly.
So, Matthew and Alex had their work cut out for them in November when they supported #EuroPCom, a major two day event, organised by the European Committee for the Regions.
10th Birthday Bash
This wasn’t the first time Drawnalism has supported EuroPCom - we have delivered In the Moment graphic recording for several previous events - but this was the tenth anniversary, so it was an extra-special occasion.
As you’d imagine, there was a stellar line-up of speakers, and attendees shared a massive variety of insights and information over the course of two days.
We couldn’t hope to do justice to such a major event in a short blogpost, but happily there is an excellent liveblog which pulls all the information together: LIVE: EuroPCom 2019.
A shared endeavour
A takeaway for us was that we are all in it together. Communication is key, and it’s vital to share and learn from the experience.
As there were two Drawnalists on-hand for both days, we created a lot of output. Happily, the European Committee for the Regions has created a gallery on Flickr to share all our drawings. We are reproducing a few of them here as well.
Steady as she goes
We are always pleased when our In the Moment output is shared. This tweet reminds us that it is often possible to discuss even the most sensitive of subjects with a little gentle humour.
That’s a wrap
All in all, the tenth anniversary #EuroPCom was a fascinating event, packed full of insights. If you couldn’t attend, and this post has whet your appetite, you can watch recordings of all the plenary sessions on the European Committee for the Regions YouTube channel.
